It is ideal if you wish to replace an existing damaged aerial antenna, or avoid, having a conventional exterior wing or roof-mounted aerial, damaged, stolen or vandalised. It is also ideal for applications that have limited mounting possibilities for a conventional aerial:

• Classic cars to avoid the need to mount a conventional wing mounted aerial
• Off-road & 4x4 vehicles where there is the likelihood of damage to an externally mounted aerial
• Cars parked in areas susceptible to vandalism or malicious damage
• Customised modified cars with 'frenched', 'tunnelled' or hidden exterior detailing 
• To replace an aerial on a vehicle with an inbuilt screen or hidden aerial which is  performs poorly or has a faulty element or amplifier module.

It has separate AM and FM amplifier for optimum performance, (Not suitable for DAB reception) . The unit has a 2.36 metre (93 inches) cable for connection to your radio with a conventional radio coax male plug and requires a 12 volt connection, which should be ignition controlled, or connected via your radio output. An earth strap is included, which should be connected to a good earthing point, near to where the aerial is mounted, to eliminate unwanted noise and interference. This aerial can be mounted discreetly, behind the interior mirror or on fixed side or rear windows. The overall width of the aerial arms is 34cm. (13.5 inches).

It is also a suitable alternative for cars which have a faulty inbuilt aerial in the rear screen heater element or aerial module which is faulty or giving poor reception.

The aerial comes complete with instructions, pre-cut adhesive pads to bond to the glass surface and an application tool to help locate the cable between the windscreen rubber moulding and or head-lining or interior trim. 

The aerial should be an easy-fit for any reasonably competent DIY person. It requires the glass or fixing surface to be cleaned, ideally using alcohol or a de-greaser prior to fitting and the cable to be laid to the radio. Access to the rear of the radio, or removal of the radio will be required, and a removal tool or key may be required dependent upon the make and type of radio fitted.
