Hackmanite is a common variety of sodalite exhibiting the property of being luminescent. When hackmanite from Mont Saint-Hilaire (Quebec) is freshly mined, it is usually pale to deep purple, but the color quickly changes to grayish or greenish white. Conversely, hackmanite from Afghanistan, creamy white at first, takes on colors ranging from purple to pink when exposed to the sun. Left in the dark for some time, the purple fades again. Luminescence is enhanced by the use of long wavelength ultraviolet (UV) light or, conversely, short wavelength ultraviolet light. Returns / Exchanges: - Before any return, please obtain an agreement by email, in order to process the return under the best conditions. - An item can be returned to us within 15 days of its dispatch (postmark being taken) provided that it has not been worn and that it is sent back in its original packaging. - The return postage costs incurred by a return are the responsibility of A Bijoux after the customer's request. - We will exchange the item for another model. - A refund will be possible IN THE FORM OF A CREDIT.
