This is a cosmetic raw material and is meant for external use only in cosmetic formulations. As with all of our materials, it should not be taken internally.

Properties:

  • Has soothing activity which may be useful for blemished skin.

  • Can improve the appearance of aged, hyper-pigmented and photo-damaged skin.

  • Reduce appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

  • When combined with vitamin A palmitate, niacinamide showed enhanced skin lightening properties.


Formulation Guidelines:

  • Add to the water phase of formulations

  • Can be added directly into a finished cream or base cream

  • Avoid use in acidic formulations to avoid hydrolysis and formation of nicotinic acid (which can be irritating to skin) - Should not be combined with l-asorbic acid.

  • Final pH of product should be about pH 6


Recommended Usage: 1-6%; 5% being a typical and effective concentration.

Volumetric Conversion: 1 teaspoon or 5ml weighs 3.75g
