Listed below are a few tips for customers to reference when ordering belts.

OEM part #::::: If you are placing your belt order based on the OEM part # given to you by your equipment manufacturer. That OEM part #  will insure that you are ordering the correct belt to replace your existing belt. The most common mistake we see when customers order based off of the OEM part #, is ordering the wrong OEM belt. Most lawn mowers in production come with 2 belts. a deck belt and a drive belt. Each belt will have its own OEM part # listed in your users manual.. "which you can find on google"...  or usually somewhere on the lawn mower itself... sometimes under the hood. Please be sure which OEM belt you are replacing. Allot of times, we see customers order a deck belt for there machine, when they really needed the drive belt... or vice versa. Its important to know just which OEM belt you are replacing.

If you are unsure of your OEM part#, or want to be sure that you are ordering the correct sized belt::::: There are 2 different dimensions when it comes to 1/2" belts. The inside dimension "ID" and the outside dimension "OD". Most Lawn belts in production are determined by their outside dimension. Regardless of the belt manufacturer or make/model of your lawn belt... the difference between the ID and the OD of 1/2" width belts is always 2". The ID will always measure 2" less than your OD Measurement. This is an industry standard. A good way of determining your exact belt size is by using a piece of rope or string. Lay your belt on the ground and apply the string around the outer portion of the belt, then use that same string and apply to the inner portion of the belt. you will then see 2 different calculations. The ID measurement will be 2" less than your OD measurement. This is a good task to use if you are unsure about your belt size, or if you just want to be absolutely positive you are getting the correct belt....
