HISTORY AND RYMES OF THE LOST BATTALION by "Buck Private" McColllum

Published by Bucklee Publishing Company in 1937

This is a fascinating way of telling the story of the "Lost Battalion".  Five hundred men under the command of Major Charles Whittlesey were cut off from the the 77th Division in the Argonne Forest during World War I for five days without food or relief.  The book is in good condition;  the cover is fairly clean with shelf wear and scuffing, fading and/or bumping.  The spine is tight and the pages are easily readable although there is some yellowing and/or fading.  The previous owner's name is on the endpaper.   There is no dust jacket.

This is a wonderful book and it would be an great addition to anyone's book collection.

The book is about 5" x 7" x 1/2", 138 pages, and about 1-2 lbs.+/-  with packaging.
