This magnificent artwork is one of Cecilia Brugnini ́s most important artworks in her fabulous and lasting career as highly regarded artist.

Being entirely authobiographic, the idea for „El Mundo de Mathias“ has it ́s origin when Cecilia Brugnini ́s son Mathias was born. Cecilia set herself in his place and sketched the artwork from the viewpoint of how Mathias sees the world with his eyes.

This artwork is absolute unique, there´s only one copy of it. It took the artist Cecilia Brugnini tremendous effort and time to complete this handcrafted artwork. In fact, this is her largest masterpiece.  

The whole artwork consists of 32 hand woven & knotted single pictures, varying in color, make, artistry, surface structure and haptic. Front and backside of the artwork are signed by the artist (woven & handwritten).

The artwork is owned by our family since 1979.  We rediscovered this unique piece in the legacy of our parents. It and has been stored professionally for many years and is in immaculate condition.
