The «Turkestan» commemorative silver coin shows the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasavi (end of the 14th century), which is a vivid example of the architecture of the Timurid period, uniting in its walls various functional spaces: jamaatkhana, gurkhan (tomb), large and small aksarais, kitaphana, askhana, kudukhana, and numerous khujdras. Because of these various functions, the complex of Khoja Ahmed Yasavi is called differently: mausoleum, mosque, memorial, khanaka. The mausoleum was built by the order of Emir Timur in 1399 on the place of burial of Khoja Ahmed Yasawim who died in the 12th century.

     Obverse: In the center a composition symbolizing entrance into Islam sanctuary consisting of image of arch and heraldic spiral; an inscription «100 TENGE» means face value of the coin; an inscription «Ag 925»  means metal and standard of coinage; along the circumference name of the issuing bank «NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN»; an inscription «2006»  means the year of coinage.
     Reverse: an image of the mausoleum of Hodja Akhmed Yassavi; along the circumference two inscriptions in english «НODJA AKHMED YASSAVI MAUSOLEUM» at upper sector and «TURKESTAN» at the bottom.
Imprints and legends are relief. Lateral surface without corrugation and inscriptions Each coin has original COA (certificate). No box.
