"New and never hit"

  • The Matrix HDA 60 golf shaft is best suited for golfers looking for a low torque, mid-low spin rate shaft that have a faster than average swing speed and tempo. It also maintains a low/mid launch angle, achieving a tour-type trajectory.
  • The Matrix HDA 60 shaft weighs in the range of 70 grams and has a mid spin rate and offers a low launch. One of the most advanced shafts in the world, the Ozik HD 6 shaft is geared specifically for tour trajectory and distance. HD istands for a Hexdecagonal internal platform that the shafts themselves are constructed on. Using an incredibly durable 16-cut butt section, the Matrix Golf HD7 has a stronger tip and structure without increasing overall weight. The Matrix HD 6 shaft is more recommended for players who prefer a piercing trajectory.
  • Matrix created new levels of structural strength and combined them with advancements in spin control.  "HD" refers to the hexadecagonal (16-sided) internal platform on which the designs are built.  With the stronger 16-cut butt section, Matrix engineers were able to better structure and strengthen the tip section without adding overall weight and, at time, even lowering balance points to better match today's high MOI, low CG heads.  The result is a stronger tip-strength-to-weight ratio than found with any previous Matrix OZIK. The Ozik HD is made from 20 Individual material layers, 6 Unique Fiber types, strategically placed section of 1K woven fiber.
  • In terms of performance, players should look forward to flatter, more piercing Tour-type ball flights and a more stable feeling than they have ever experienced with a Matrix OZIK shaft
  • HD Design: Hexadecagonal (16-sided) internal platform on which the shaft designs are built. HD allows for new levels of structural strength. With  the stronger 16-cut butt section, Matrix engineers are able to better structure and strengthen the tip section without adding overall weight. At times this even lowers balance points to better match high MOI and low CG heads. The result is a stronger "tip-strength-to-weight" ratio.
