Rear Hardtop Latch Replacement kit (bolts over the frankenstein bolt).

The rear latch replacement plates should be used with the JASS Performance fixed hardtop brackets we offer.

These fit mk1 & mk2 MX-5 models with the factory hardtop.

They have the following advantages vs. the OEM rear latches:

• Allow much easier positioning of the hardtop closer to the front windscreen frame as the frankenstein (or mushroom) bolts prevent this in the OEM configuration.

• Provides additional fixing now in both horizontal directions.

• Provides a secure vertical fix and by pushing the hardtop slightly down minimizes any squeaks caused by the lower hardtop seal.

The set consists of the parts needed to replace the OEM plates and frankenstein bolts.  They do however require the use of the existing nuts, bolts & washers that mount the old plates to the brackets.
