Original ACEO 2.5"x3.5" Oil Painting Poppies Poppy Field Thick Impasto Paint Strokes Impressionism

Four years ago, my first series entitled Floral Deconstruction was a sell-out. This is the second Floral Deconstruction limited edition ACEO series. There are only six paintings, each of them upcycled from a single larger work. It is a rare example of an impressionist oil painting created with a palette knife and thick paint strokes in an ACEO format. This is also called impasto art. Thicker than other oil paintings, it will still fit nicely into most ACEO storage albums, if you use one.

The original artist is unknown. The painting was only signed with a capital “W.”

ABOUT SFA and ACEO ART CARDS: SFA stands for Small Format Art, or art that is 14 inches or less on one side. Most of us cannot afford to own an art gallery or wouldn't have the room to incorporate one into our homes but SFA tends to be inexpensive and is easy to store and display. ACEO art is just one type of SFA.

ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions, and Originals. ACEOs have only ONE rule: They must be the same size as other collectible cards, like baseball cards, that is, 2 ½ inches by 3 1/2 inches. Other than size, they are only limited by the artist’s imagination. This unique form of art can be paintings, inlaid wood, textile, glitter-covered, whatever! ACEOs have been around for centuries in one form or another and are as popular as ever. Who wouldn’t want to build their own miniature art gallery?

ACEOs are also called ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) but technically, ATCs are traded, not sold, from artist to artist. ACEOs are bought and sold by all.

STORING AND DISPLAYING ACEO: This card is stiff enough to mount on a mini-easel. See my store for easel types and other ACEO storage ideas. Some people store ACEOs like sports cards, in photo albums, in clear pocketed sheets in a binder, or vertically in a specialized box. ACEOs can be framed with or without a mat, and with or without glass. Some ACEO collectors make their own frames from a variety of materials.

See my store  for more unique ACEOs, including some made by my sister with antique embroidered textiles.

My Seller FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

Allergy Note: All lots come from a smoke free and cat free home but pre-owned items may have originated in different conditions.

About Discounted Shipping: USA shipping only. I am happy to discount shipping within 48 hours of the first purchase if you request a discounted invoice after your last auction concludes but before payment is sent. Large fragile items are not usually subject to this option because they often have to ship in separate boxes.

Shipping and Return Policy: I can only ship to your official Pay-Pal address and I do not ship on Friday and Saturday or during dangerous weather conditions. If you pay for an item any time from Thursday to Sunday, it will ship on Monday. If you pay for an item anytime between Monday and Wednesday, it will ship on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Please bear this in mind, as well as the post office transit time estimates, when looking at arrival dates.

Shipping includes a tracking number. Oklahoma residents are always subject to 8.5% sales tax.

In 17 years, my return policy has not changed. All sales are final - no returns or refunds unless there is a question of authenticity or a gross error in the description. If any thing you buy from me is not as described and photographed, you are entitled to a full refund of your purchase price after the item is returned. I do not typically offer partial refunds.

Payment Reminder: If you are new around here, you need to know that eBay automatically opens a case when payment fails to arrive within the required period. After a case is opened, buyers have several more days to send payment before the buyer account receives a “strike.” I have received angry emails from slow paying buyers who have no idea the process is automatic, hence, this reminder.

ABOUT FEEDBACK: My top priorities are answering email, writing accurate descriptions and fast shipping. Feedback is important but not my priority. I leave feedback only once or twice a month in large groups to save time.
