Item Description:

DISNEY SCHOOL BUS METAL DOME LUNCHBOX AND PLASTIC/GLASS THERMOS from Aladdin Industries 1961-1973.  This Walt Disney-themed lunchkit was the longest-running and most prolific box in history, and came in both orange and yellow.  This box is the yellow variety.  Features many lovable Disney characters getting their ride to school – not too sure about Goofy behind the wheel!  Wonderful design idea by Disney executive Al Konetzni – with artwork by Elmer Lehnhardt – artistic director for Aladdin.

Condition:  Box and Thermos are complete and correct, except for the missing wire thermos holder.  Clean and glossy panels throughout with minor shelf wear and rubbings especially on front box area.  Even the bottom, which typically shows the most "schoolyard damage" with these dome designs, just has light scratching.  Inside is clean with some small areas of paint loss on bottom of box - free of any previous owner markings.  Box in overall excellent  C-8 condition.  Thermos is clean with minor rubbings in overall excellent plus C-8.5 condition.
