These elephant bookends are beautifully carved from Teak wood. Notice the beautiful grain of the wood and the fine details of the carving.

Condition: Excellent, no chips or cracks.

We purchased these bookends in 1970 in Chiengmai, Thailand. At that time, Chiengmai was known for the best woodcarvers in Thailand. These have been displayed on a shelf or bookcase as decorations.

Head and fore legs are carved with the trunk up. The tusks were made from a different kind of wood.

Two photos were taken outside in natural light, the others were taken indoor with flash to avoid shadows.

One elephant's trunk is a little taller than the other; they are a matching set.

Height: From the tip of the trunk to the bottom of the base: one is 10 inches tall, the other 9 3/4 inches tall
Width: 3 1/4 inches
Depth: 5 inches without tusks
Weight: The pair weigh 3 pounds 10.6 ounces

I will ship within 3 business days of payment. Shipping is free, but size and weight will require a Medium Flat Rate Box at $13.60 which figured into my pricing.
