The hardness of maple enhances tonal brilliance, so it was natural for them to develop the Hagstrom’s 12-string Viking Deluxe. Maple used throughout the body and neck results in a brilliant voice for this guitar. Standard equipment on Hagstrom is their H-Expander truss rod and Resinator fretboard. Both of these features also enhance acoustics by emphasizing the octave strings, balancing them with the naturally fuller standard strings, resulting in a lush, chorale-like acoustic platform upon which we build our Hagstrom pickup magic. The magic comes from our H-50 humbucking pickups, designed and voiced specifically for this 12-string model.
