The obverse of the Silver Libertad depicts a graceful angel and Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl, the two iconic Mexican mountain peaks named after legendary lovers. The reverse of the Mexican Silver Libertad Coin celebrates the Mexican heritage by featuring the Mexican Coat of Arms symbol of an eagle perched on a cactus, clutching a serpent in its beak.
