The first example of the Z1 was released by BMW to the press in 1986 and later officially presented at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show. Initial demand was so fierce that BMW had 5,000 orders before production began. However, demand dropped significantly around 1988 and BMW ended production in 1991. There is speculation that the drop in demand was due to the early inflated demand from speculative investors. In 1988, however, BMW was quoted as saying that they had 35,000 orders for the Z1. The Z1 featured doors which dropped down into the door sills. A total of 8,000 cars were produced.

We only accept PayPal on eBay, this means you can rest assured your order will be with you ASAP after your purchase. For your security we only despatch your order to the address you provide us via PayPal.

As soon as you pay, eBay & PayPal will email you to let you know it's been received and as soon as we've shipped your order, we'll let you know by email that it has been despatched and the tracking number if applicable. All our frames are very well packed and we send via Royal Mail and Parcelforce.

We absolutely and unconditionally guarantee all our products. In the unlikely event, that your order is not what your ordered, please message us and we will of course replace. Our products are packaged very securely, but in the unlikely event of transit damage, please notify us immediately. Very occasionally, despite our best efforts, glass does get broken in transit. If this occurs we will replace the glass by sending you Framers Perspex. We would ask that you kindly attach a photo of any damaged items and packaging within 60 days in order that we may claim the cost back from our courier.

As we make all our frames to order we will only offer an exchange on orders where the customer has ordered the wrong size. If you have any concerns on size please do message us we are here to help.

If you change your mind about your order, we offer a 60 day return policy. Please return the package in the original packaging. Return postage costs will be at the buyers cost.
