I use the following grading scale:
Booster fresh: pulled and immediately sleeved myself.
Near-mint: Card still looks booster fresh, I can see no wear or imperfections.
Excellent: Card generally still looks like new, on close inspection there may be very slight wear but nothing obvious.
Very good: Card generally looks good, but there is some light wear visible e.g. scratching/surface wear. No creases or obvious damage.
Played: Card will show more wear, but this will be described and clearly photographed.
