The covert missions of the SOE, and the Lysander crews that flew them into harms way were vitally important to the winning of WWII. Ferrying agents was one of the most hazardous jobs any pilot could do, yet the dependable, quiet and easy to fly Lysander gave the units doing the job the very best chance of getting their important cargo to and from occupied Europe with the minimum amount of fuss.
