Passing seconds are on the Sub-dial at 3 o'clock Chronograph Functions This model 'Lupah' is fitted with the Ronda 5040D Swiss Made Quartz Movement This is the 1st Generation 13 Jewel 'All Swiss Made' Movement. Not the later, inferior 'Swiss Parts' 6 Jewel model. The Big Second Hand is for chronograph 'Seconds' timing The Sub-dial at 6 o'clock measures at 1/10th of a Second. It will turn One Full Revolution for Every Second, for a full 30 Seconds. Then it will act as a 'Stopwatch' for timing to 1/10 whenever 'Paused'. The Sub-dial at 9 o'clock times to 30 Minutes 'Pushers' work Start, Stop, Re-start, & Set & Re-set Accumulated time. Intermediate & Time Remaining Incredibly Accurate. WHAT IT IS This is a Rare Swiss Made 1st Generation ‘Dragon’ Lupah. All 316L Surgical Grade Stainless Steel Amazing quality - still perfect & factory fresh in the original Invicta box. This Lupah 'Dragon' Chronograph was the mainstay of the Lupah Range. The 'Classic' is 40mm, THIS 'Dragon' 43mm, the 'Big Date' 44mm & 'Grand' 46mm. This is a 1st. Generation SWISS MADE Lupah ‘Dragon’ - Launched around 1999. It has the Best Quality Ronda 5040D Swiss Made Chronograph Movement. These models were different in that the '6' Sub-dial was marked 7 - 3. With 1/10th of a Second Stopwatch Timing & the Word 'Swiss' at below the '6'. ***This 'All Swiss Made' Movement has 13 Jewels *** Later Models were fitted with a (good but) simpler ETA Movement. These had a '6 o'clock' Dial marked 40 - 20 Some with a 'Swiss Movement' but not 'Made in Switzerland' ...So there is a BIG Difference in Quality & Cost. The Case is Very Curved & Designed to be Comfortable on the Wrist. The Size 43mm Case size is 16mm Thick..so 'Wears Big'. The dial is a Stunning Black Guilloche Pattern with Silver Edged Dials Arabic Numerals & Markers are in Silver-tone. The Main Hands are Solid White and Very Luminous. This was the model that defined the 'Lupah' & its Unique Shape & Styling. Identified by the Huge 30mm x 38mm Magnifying Crystal With High Polished Oversized 'Globule' Crown & Pushers.
