This is a very nice Yaesu FT-101ZD HF Transceiver. This is the MK III version, meaning it is the last of the 101ZD Series. In addition to the standard HF bands, this radio does cover the three WARC bands as well - it does not cover 11 meters. It was built around 1981. It is a hybrid rig, meaning it is all solid state with the exception of the transmit driver, (12BY7), and finals, (2 X 6146B). Yaesu wisely changed from sweep tube finals to the 6146 tube family starting with the 101Z series. The MK III version had the option of having either an additional AM board or FM board fitted allowing the addition of either the AM operating mode or FM operating mode - it was the only version that offered an FM option - however, you could not install both boards. This radio has the optional FM board installed. It puts out 100 watts on all bands from 160 - through 12 meters and about 50 watts on 10 meters, (photos show 160, 40, and 15 meters - readings were taken in "Tune" position). Receive also works very well. All functions and controls appear to work as they should. Cosmetically, I'd rate it a 8.5 out of 10 - the cabinet has the usual minor scrapes, scuffs, and scratches and dings. The front panel and controls are in good condition. I've used this rig on 80, 40, and 20 meter sideband with no issues and excellent signal reports. I added a pigtail on the aux plug for keying an amplifier. This auction includes the radio, the AC power cord, a generic hand mic, and a printed copy of the operating manual.  Since this is a 42 year old radio, it is being sold "AS IS". The radio will be shipped via FedEx Ground for actual shipping costs which I'd estimate to run between $20 - $60 in the ConUS depending on the buyers location. Thanks for looking!
