Great mid 17th century Latin copy of Livy's ancient history of Rome, here presented in ten books, as shown. Gorgeous Dutch engraved title page, as shown with date at foot of 1661. Original leather with raised bands to the spine, some faded gilt designing as shown; the corners exposed and rounded and the leather with joints starting, yet hinges fully intact. Red page edges.  Interior in good shape, all intact and quite clean, a signature to the first leaf after the title, otherwise unmarked. Some edge-trimming. Text in Latin; dual columns in attractive small font. 262pp, covers all of the Historiarum Libri; nothing after. Measures 6" x 3.5".
