Quarter cloth and paper covered boards are good with some wear and some light staining. Spine is rubbed and discoloured heavily. Book is ex-library with library bookplate on inner front board and small, light blindstamp to title page, first page and last page and one other. No other library stamps or inscriptions.
Some of the books currently on my auction are from Wigan Free Public Library. None of these are from the lending department part of this library but are all from their reference section as many of the lightly tipped in slips - now removed - stated. I have to say that as library books go, these are mostly of a superior kind, as far as state is concerned. Not heavily stamped - only a single catalogue index box on the copyright page. Some are without that. Most have a small blindstamp on first and last pages - occasionally a few more of these and almost all have a large or small bookplate from the library - at least as attractive a plate as many armorial plates I'd say. And clean - some very clean.
