ITEM- Daniel Phillip Kronberg Miniature Bronze James Earle Frazer End of Trail Sculpture 1994

DESCRIPTION- This is a fabulous miniature bronze copy of the famous End of Trail Sculpture by James Earle Frazer (1876-1953), but this one is a mere 1 & 5/8" tall but with incredible detail & patina.  Fraser, sculptor of the famous Buffalo nickel, sculpted his other most famous piece, End of the trail for the 1915 Panama–Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco.  Next to last photo shows full size version.

This is among the absolute best few we bought & is one of the larger ones of those.  This piece was made in two style bases, rectangular ground & base (sold one for $230) & oval ground & base & I love the oval one as it compliments the sculpture so well.  The aged bronze color & intentional verdigris patina is very beautiful.  It is not only signed with his stamp DPK but also has a very rare hand signature & date 8-20-94 in gold the buyer requested from the artist when they bought it back in the early 1990's.  He told me he almost never signed or dated his work by hand, but a few from this collection are hand signed.  This aged bronze verdigris patina is no longer used by him, hasn't been for decades, & never will be again.  It is signed with his stamp DPK.  You won't be disappointed.  Check my listings for more & for other great DH items being added here.  It measures 1 & 5/16" long X 1 & 5/8" tall.

SCULPTOR- Daniel Phillip Kronberg, former IGMA fellow, has been an artist since age 10.  Carving soap, wood, stone, and metal practically his entire life, Daniel is a master in the sculpture world.  Originally from the Lower East side of Manhattan, NY, his education took him from NYU to RISD & a 4 year apprenticeship at the Danish Silversmith in Providence to become the head model-maker at Sunwest Silver, a jewelry manufacturing company in Albuquerque, NM.  In the 53 years since that apprenticeship, Daniel has created numerous miniature bronze sculptures and commission pieces.   He is still in Albuquerque & still produces wonderful miniature works today in different finishes than the ones I'm selling.

CONDITION-  Excellent vintage condition, no issues.

SHIPPING/INSURANCE- Free shipping by first class includes full insurance, but if you want to be sure you will get it sooner than first class, upgrade to Priority & we will still pay the full insurance.  If you want to arrange local pickup rather than shipping, just tell me when you pay.

ABOUT US- We are Chris & Holly Wood of Scottsville, KY & we have sold dollhouse miniatures at shows in Chicago & Philadelphia & San Jose).   Our previous 21 years experience with antiques enables us to have a discerning eye when it comes to proper scale in miniatures.  We hope you will choose to do business with us.  Perhaps you found us from our cards at shows or our FB page htgtminis & if so, we hope you will choose to buy from us here also.

RETURNS & BUYER PROTECTION- These terms are legally binding. The eBay buyer protection program fully guarantees you will receive the item(s) you bought just as shown & described in this listing. We do not allow returns outside of the eBay buyer protection guarantee for any reason, because all that does is allow for buyers to return things for illegitimate reasons such as buyer's remorse or not reading the description, reasons that if we were somehow forced to do a return because of, would result in a 25% restocking fee. If we made a legitimate mistake that can be proven, then the eBay money back guarantee comes in. If there's damage, that's why we always fully insure any item (other than lesser items we have exact duplicates of).  Most buyers are honest & not intending to cheat sellers, but this way you are protected and so are we. We often set up in Philly & Chicago & have sold a huge amount of estate miniatures in the past 7 years. We want to be a trusted source for artisan dollhouse items on eBay & we have never received anything but positive feedback from dollhouse items we've sold, with no complaints so far anywhere. However, one buyer neglected to note the size, thought they were buying a full size cupboard despite the DH category, description with size, & pictures with a dime beside them & one of my hand holding it, so just know what you're buying & know there will be no returns for not looking at pictures & reading the description. And if there is anything you're not sure about, write to ask BEFORE buying & we will send any additional pics or photos or measurements you need so there is no confusion. After you buy without writing, that is on you. We want to make every reasonable buyer happy so they come back again! Thanks for looking.
