Welcome!

For your consideration

A fine vintage German Zeiss Ikon Contessa 35mm rangefinder camera circa 1953. Zeiss-Opton Tessar f2.8/45mm lens. Shutter speeds to 1/500th of a second. Slow speed adjustment down to 1 second. Rotating wedge-type rangefinder focusing. This was a high-end camera at the time, compact and over-built. Original leather case included in very good condition.

Condition details: Body serial #A 8118. Body in nice condition with just very slight wear noted in the form of small scratches to chrome. Leather skin in excellent shape. Film chamber is clean. Rangefinder view is bright, clean and aligns perfectly.  Shutter winds and fires fine with all speeds sounding about right. Shutter and aperture blades are clean and dry. Film counter works well. Lens glass is clean and clear without fungus, haze or scratches. Selenium meter has long since given up the ghost!
