This system is a sensing device designated to measure and display tire temperature and pressure, and to activate an alert to the driver when pressure and temperature irregularities are detected. Pressure and temperature information is transmitted by radio frequency to the receiver and displayed on the LCD display. When an under-inflated, over-inflated or over-heated tire is detected, the display will emit an audible warning and activate a warning lamp to alert the driver. The icon for the tire with the fault will be displayed along with the pressure and temperature. Each sensor's battery is also monitored, and an alert will activate if a sensor's battery is found to be low in charge. Instant alert will sound when powered up if a fault is detected while in stand-by.

The Toyota PZQ88-89010 Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) was introduced as an add-on option for Australian Toyota Hilux models 2/2005 production onwards, but can be used with any passenger car without factory installed TPMS system. It has five (5) tire sensors included to fit four wheels and a spare in the rear. The receiver could be easily mounted on the dash, console, or in another convenient place. The receiver powers from the car battery (12V). Imported.
