Sir Nicholas Scheele
Scheele joined Ford in 1966, working in Purchasing, Supply and Procurement in Britain. Twenty years later, he was President of Ford, Mexico, where he directed manufacturing and marketing operations. In 1992, he returned to Britain as Vice-Chairman of Jaguar Cars Ltd., quickly rising to become Chairman and Chief Executive. During his seven years with Jaguar, sales doubled and Jaguar regained its place as one of the world's top marques in terms of brand image, product quality and customer satisfaction. In July 2000, he became President of Ford Europe, and is credited with having directed the increasingly successful transformation of Ford's European business. In October, 2001, Sir Nick was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Ford's global operations as well as a member of the Board of Directors. He retired in 2005.
