This is the smaller version of the Seagulls in Flight created in 1973. The larger version is the first piece made and sold by the Studio.

The stylized graceful simplicity of these birds fit the image of the iconic bird in Richard Bach's best selling book Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and helped the Studio get off to a flying start. More than 40 years later, they still have strong appeal. One might say they have become a classic.

They are made of Pellucida our proprietary compound of resins that resembles Bisque porcelain but is more durable

They soar above a select polished burlwood base. The piece stands about 10 inches high and the gulls wingspan is about 9 inches.

PLEASE NOTE: the photos are of illustrative samples. Each burl is a unique piece of nature's art, so the one you will receive will be different but of similar size and comparable beauty.

It is SIGNED and comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY.
