We recently found some unique and wonderful antique and vintage doll accessories, miniatures and  toys that we will be offering in the next few weeks, so we will be listing previously offered items from our year end inventory at SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER PRICES, some below our cost to encourage you to visit us often!

What a FABULOUS FIND this wonderful box is, as it would make the PERFECT DISPLAY for use with your antique dolls------we can envision a little MIGNONETTE with her wardrobe and trousseau items nestled inside!

The box is made of heavy stock cardboard and measures an IMPRESSIVE 8 3/4" in diameter and is 1 1/8" high, and has a fancy LITHOGRAPH PICTURE on the top of the lid featuring a wonderful COURTING COUPLE looking like they could have stepped out of a JANE AUSTEN novel!  The top and bottom rim are edged in GILDED PAPER, and when the box is opened it reveals its original fancy FLORAL EMBOSSED paper tabs encircling the interior rim!

The container was originally a chocolate box that a courting gentleman would give his sweetheart, holding a pound of the delectable treats, and is marked with the name of the candy company "LOFT" on the top of the lid.  With the exception of some age warping on the bottom underneath the box creating a slightly concave shape, it is in overall DISPLAY READY condition!

For scale purposes we have shown it being modeled by our 13" antique Bru Smiler doll, who thinks because of its sweet romantic scene would make a wonderful BACKDROP DISPLAY for Fashion dolls---when we saw it we thought it would be the PERFECT piece to showcase your ALL BISQUE or MIGNONETTE with wardrobe and trousseau items in as well!
