Handmade Embroidered Wool Tapestry 4’ x 6’. This handmade piece of fiber art was interpreted from an old master piece. This piece of handmade embroidery shows the detail that is possible with this ancient art of embroidery. The New Zealand wool embroidered on to a 100 per cent cotton is a fine medium for this whimsical piece of fiber art. There are three background colors available with this piece. Navy, Brown and Rust. 

The Tapestry you are purchasing is Hand Made.  These tapestries are also Vintage.  They were created at least 25 years ago. Although we take precautions to make sure you receive a Tapestry that is as well preserved as possible there may be small flaws and a certain amount of soiling on the backing of the tapestry that is inherent of this product. The overall outcome of your installation is our wish to be stunning. The charm and beauty of these tapestries is the hand made, yet stunning detail for this type of fiber art. The slight differences in each tapestry of the same subject are hallmarks of authenticity and will be the topic of conversation as you display them in your home or workplace for a very long time.

Care:
Your tapestry has been hand embroidered with fine two-ply New Zealand wool onto a 100% cotton base cloth.  These are both natural fibers and can be treated in the same manner as you would your fine mohair, cashmere, or any other wool garment.  In addition, you may wish to press the fold marks made in shipment.  This will not harm the tapestry. 
We also recommend that you regularly vacuum the Tapestry.  Use the same method that you use when cleaning your drapery and upholstered furniture...

Installation Methods:
 Every tapestry is sleeved top and bottom.  This allows you a variety of installation options.

1. Tackles carpet strip can be nailed to a wall with the nails angling in an upward direction. Cut the strip one inch narrower than the width of the Tapestry. Starting at the side, overlap the Tapestry by ½” beyond the strip and press the Tapestry against the nails all the way across.   If you think you need stronger support for the weight of the Tapestry, you can use fine finish nails on either side of the panel as well as in the center.  Try to go between the stitches when using these nails and once the head of the finish nail is flush with the tapestry, use a round headed needle, needlepoint type, and gently lift the tapestry surface thereby hiding the head of the finish nail.
2. Door Stop-door jamb molding (3/8” x1-3/8”) can be inserted into the sleeve and nailed in the identical method suggested for extra support mentioned above.
3. Ornamental rods can be used in the top sleeve; however, we must point out that they have a tendency to create a bulge in the 
4. Special Note for 1,2 and 3: When using any of the above methods, we suggest you insert a strip of doorstop molding in the sleeve at the bottom of your tapestry. This strip should be cut two inches narrower than the tapestry. You will find that this gives the weight necessary to keep your tapestry straight and flush against the wall.
5. You can remove the backing from the Tapestry and have it stretched on a frame in the same method as that used for a canvas for painting.
6. You can use Method 4, mount it to a wall and float the Tapestry under a Lucite frame.
