IMPORTANT… PLEASE NOTE: We usually ship the item(s) within 1 business day after
cleared payment. However, it had
occurred a few times in the past that the post office (PO) failed to track the
item properly. There was evidence
that the PO accepted the package, but it was unclear where exactly the item
was, even 2 weeks or so after the shipping date. Due to the delay of the delivery and the uncertainty
involved, I had to issue the full refund to the buyer. Since most, if not all, of my items are
shipped with a tracking # and insurance, I could recover the cost by filing a
loss claim with the PO, but my local PO stated I had to wait for 30 days to
pass before I could do so. After
the buyer received the refund, the PO delivered the package and uploaded info
into the tracking system. At this
point, it was up to the buyer to either keep the item and make the payment or
to send it back to me. The result
was, the buyer decided to keep the item and made no payment. I ended up with a loss. The most recent incidence happened with buyer named Weisheng Lian (Ebay
username: Eshengonline), on item #171732802320, Series 1935E $1 Silver
Certificate Gutter Error Note, that ended on 04/01/15.
To stop the loss from happening in the future, I will be happy to issue the full refund 30 days after the shipping date, if the post office still doesn’t deliver the item by then.
