JM Silverflo 55 is widely recognised as the best quality general purpose silver solder with a silver content of 55%. It is suitable for use on copper, copper alloys, brasses, bronze, carbon steels, tool steels, stainless steels, nickel alloys, molybdenum and tungsten alloys. It provides a high strength joint on similar and dissimilar materials with joints as small as 0.04mm feasible. Working temperatures of between 600 and 650 degrees celsius with a high fluid state. Can be used with many heat sources such as butane (small items only), propane, MAPP and oxy-acetylene. Corrosion resistant and food safe.

The flux is renowned for being the industry benchmark and provides excellent cleaning during the brazing operation and easily removed with soapy water. Easy-flo™ Flux Powder is Johnson Matthey’s leading brand brazing flux. It is sold widely throughout the world and is recognised as one of the best flux powders available. It is very fluid at the bottom end of its working range resulting in early and extensive flux spread. This ensures that the joint surfaces are well protected from oxidation at the earliest possible point of the brazing operation. This high level of fluidity also helps to reduce flux voids / entrapment in the joint, the low viscosity of the flux aiding its displacement by the brazing filler metal from the joint gap. Easy-flo™ Flux Powder has a working range of 550-800˚C. It is suitable for use with silver brazing filler metals melting below 750˚C (such as Silver-flo™, Easy-flo™ and Argo-braze™ filler metals).

The kit is ideal for a wide range of applications such as model making, jewelry making and repair, automotive component repair, refridgeration, air-conditioning, marine, home brewing and food applications to name but a few.
