Probe Port Script Software CNC Router engraver 6040 MACH3 GRBL
A PROBE is a major enhancement to your CNC machine and work strategy.
This software should be compatible with both MACH3 and GRBL systems that support probes.

Download Package includes:
1) MACH3 Script files in Inch and Millimeter formats
2) MACH 3 compatible G-Code files, in inch and millimeter formats, that allow finding center of a hole (using G31 ) and setting G58 work offset to X0, Y0.
3) GRBL compatible G-Code files, in inch and millimeter formats, that allow finding center of a hole (using G38.2 ) and setting G58 work offset to X0, Y0.
4) Downloadable MACH 3 Screen file (1024A.set) that adds an indicator next to the 'Auto Zero Button' to indicate touch.
The MACH3 BASIC Scrip files allow you to find the center of a circle and the edge of the work-piece from any direction.
Modes:
1) Find center of circle and set X0.0 & Y0.0 (Favorite of mine)
2) Find X minus edge of work-piece moving probe in positive X direction
3) Find Y minus edge of work-piece moving probe in positive Y direction
4) Find X plus edge of work-piece moving probe in negative X direction
5) Find Y plus edge of work-piece moving probe in negative Y direction
6) Find top of Finder by moving Z in negative direction (Favorite of mine)
7) Finds X minus, Y minus, and Z (may need modification to work for your setup)
8) Find top of work-piece by finding top of finder (see #6) then adding finder thickness
Sample G-Code Can be used either independently or as a lead-in to your G-Code project.
If you use it to preset X0 and Y0, It moves the project to the G58 work offset, which is safer than using the temporary G92 offsets. This allows you to switch back to the default platform (G52) easily

This software package is designed to operate with the Vancura Innovations Edge Finder. It should work with most other edge finders and probes.
You should understand that you may have to modify some of the code to make it work properly with your probe setup.
