a very fine example of an nouveau silver plated trinket box, produced in the art nouveau jugendstil secessionist era of around 1900 at the same time as the german firms of wmf,kayserzinn and orivit were producing similar pieces of art nouveau pewter, made for connell's of cheapside,possibly by  William Hair Haselers of Birmingham or William Hutton & sons,or the liberty & co tudric pewter ware range,fully marked to the base with the distinctive connells punch,the box is a polished condition with a mirror like finish as it would have been over 100 years ago when first made,the lid has a wonderful seascape enamel plaque that is in good order with no cracks or chips just some very fine stress lines,the hinge is firm with no slack,opening and closing easily,lifting the lid reveals the interior which is clean and without damage or repair,over all condition should be considered as superb,it measures 4.5" x 2" x 1.5"high,so a really nice display piece,if you require any further information,please send an e-mail and I will get back to you.
