Cigar band rings which are thick and do not taper, and are not domed, flat, like this one, will run small and feel much snugger on one's finger.

You will most likely need to go up at LEAST a size, depending upon your finger, but possibly more.

We have a picture of a size 8 on a ring stick to show they do measure correctly, just the fit is VERY different.
