This is a rare find: a vintage 100% Stroock cashmere overcoat from Garfinckel's in Washington, DC.

Made in the USA, the coat is black.

It has a button front, a rear vent, full lining, and flap front pockets.

This coat is in absolutely MINT condition. I believe it dates to the 1950s or 1960s, though it could be earlier.

Marked 40S. 

It measures 18.5 inches from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, 24 inches armpit to armpit, 34/35 inches from mid-collar to the end of the cuff, and 40 inches from the collar seam to the bottom of the back. (All measurements done across the back with the coat laid flat).
