A Magnificent Antique Carved Fireplace Mantel
A large and impressive mahogany fireplace mantel with amazing carvings, of American origin, circa late 19th century to early 20th century. Carved out of solid grained mahogany, this massive fireplace features a pair of stylized lion head gargoyles above the two lateral ogee columns ended with paws on the bottoms. Relief carvings of scrolled vines and a central mandala with flames showcased the highest craftsmanship from a bygone era. The piece is 60" wide x 80" high, with the fireplace opening at 41 1/2" wide by 45" high. This item will be shipped out of our Atlanta location.
