Mt. Washington Five
Lobe Shaker
DESCRIPTION
I am pleased to
offer this beautiful shaker made by Mt. Washington. This shaker is the Five
Lobe blank. This shaker has the 2-part metal lid which is older than the
shakers with regular lids. This shaker has been hand painted by the Smith Bros
with a delicate floral and foliage pattern. This shaker is about 3" tall
with the lid, and measures about 2" diameter. The hand painting on this
shaker is light. I believe the colors were light when they were painted and not
wore. There are no chips, cracks, or breaks.
This shaker can be
found on page 144 of the book "The World of Salt Shakers Volume II"
by "Mildred and Ralph Lechner".
