before selecting your vintage radio grille cloth
REMEMBER !
When purchasing cloth, first you should inquire about the weight of yarn and how tightly the cloth is woven.
When holding your cloth to a light source, you should be able to see light through your speaker cloth fabric , which assures a good measure of sound quality. Also if a fabric is too tight, it could restrict decibel pressure and possibly cause damage to the speaker, creating tears in the cone or damage to the voice coil.
A few of our generic patterns measure about 50% percent light visual, however, most all are duplicated to be about 70 to 75 % light showing through the cloth. We have actually dropped a couple of the generics because I felt they were woven too tight.

This site is the only place to buy authentic vintage radio grille cloth duplications, created with the precise weave , correct yarn selections and a finish product as true to the real thing,..as any could be.
During the first two of the five years, ....Richmond Designs Inc was literally scanning the globe searching for a weaver to help us create a true quality duplication of the original 30s cloth. After many months of hard work and persistence, we finally found a weaver to work with us right here in the USA. From the first run off the looms to this date, we have managed to offer several authentic patterns. I state this because it is important that you know, we don't just run down to the local fabric store and pick up a couple of yards of something you might like.
Our patterns were set up years ago and they are here to stay. The beautiful cloth we offer you now , will always be available to you on our site, or on Ebay.
