Canopy #4 Pinewood Derby Car Body
Very own design for use of our lead or tungsten canopy. 1/4" ultra light cnc laser pinewood derby car body variant which is about as thin as we feel comfortable making. CNC laser allows smooth edges for very slight sanding. Fast low profile design utilizing a tungsten or lead canopy. Designed be light and structurally sound weighing in under 20 grams. Pockets will be routered and profile will be laser cut. Because of the laser cutting, the body may smell of burn wood.

We have done the major steps for you! You will still need at least 108 grams of weight to bring the car to proper weight even more with weight reduced wheels. There are very small weight pockets on the underside of the body. They can be used to accommodate tungsten putty for weight distribution and final weigh-in adjustments.
Aggressive COG with this build. We highly suggest racing it on a smooth track. Rail Rider configuration is also suggested.
As always, our ultra light car bodies are stable but fragile. There is no messing around with this body. Know what you are doing, use sharp bits, drill and build slow. If an axle is tight, run the provided bit through it again. This body does not come with wheels or axles.
Due to its thickness, we highly suggest using a bent axle instead of trying to drill a high wheel to ensure no mishaps with axle placement.
Made from an official BSA pine block, Fast Pinewood Derby Ultra Light Car Body conforms to all Cub Scout rules.

Ultra Light bodies are designed with minimum wood weight in mind. We use simple, proven designs that will get you in the winner’s circle. Since we remove a lot of the strength structure of the wood block, handle these bodies with care. NO HAMMERING ever. Because of this a #44 drill bit provided with each body to ensure easy proper axle install.
Made from an official BSA block, know this car is always compliant with national rules. It is necessary to know your rules before choosing our unique modifications for your PWD car. Each pack’s rules will be different. If you are unsure about the terminology, just email us, we will get you what you need.
How to properly add weight
Design is based on the 7 principles of having a fast pinewood derby car. This body covers the low profile, lightweight, aerodynamic design. COG is infinitely adjustable.
Options for this Car include:
- Wheelbase: Wide Wheel base (11/16" from each end)
- Unweighted or weighted body

Conditions of return
Damaged items policy/Returns
Damaged or misused items. We will not refund/replace any misused or damaged items unless you provide pictures for validation. For you to receive a replacement and/or refund you must return all damaged items to us in a timely manner for inspection. All items found to be damaged as a result of misuse or carelessness will not be refunded or replaced. Buyers pay shipping on all damaged items. However, if an item is found to be damaged by factory, manufacturer defect, or by delivery services we will replace it for free at our expense as a courtesy to our customers.
Returns/unauthorized Returns
Returns will be handled on a case by case scenario. Items must be returned in the manner in which they were sent to the consumer, i.e. in its original packaging, not used in any way, with seals and stickers unbroken and able for resale. All items found not in this way will be considered used and not returnable. For a return to be Valid: simply contact us with the issue. If the item does meet all the above requirements and eBay.com requirements we will arrange for the item to be returned. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. All unauthorized returns, will be treated as such. If you return an item to us without written authorization we will deny delivery and will be shipped back to the consumer. Combine Shipping Instructions
To request an invoice from me that combines shipping please use the Cart feature in eBay to add items until you are done. Then hit the Request total from seller button. If you don't do it this way eBay will force you to make immediate payments for each item you buy and you will be charged excess postage in many cases. If you buy from me and this happens accidentally I will refund any excess postage back to you with PayPal. This works for Buy It Now auctions. On regular auctions you should still wait to pay until all your auctions are finished and then request an invoice from your seller. eBay always sends an Instant Invoice after you win an auction but you should not pay immediately if you intend on combining shipping to save money. The link to contact the seller directly has changed. Now it is the "Contact seller" link which is under the seller's name upper right in the Seller information box.
Due to the rising costs associated with doing business on eBay, including higher than ordinary Paypal fees, we are forced to charge a higher price on our eBay offerings than you would be able to purchase them from our company elsewhere. We apologize for this but the costs have become prohibitive and we find it necessary to implement this policy. We find this necessary and want to advise all our eBay friends of this new policy to avoid any complaints in the future should you find our merchandise elsewhere on the internet at lower pricing. Your placing an eBay order constitutes acceptance of our policy and these higher costs. Thank you for your understanding.
eBay is an extension of our marketing campaign, not a flea market for our "junk" products. Our "junk" gets thrown away. We do accept offers, but please do not insult us. Offering bids at 50% off is an insult and will not be answered. We are very proud of the quality of our products and will continue to do business this way.
