Rare original U.S. advance poster for the 1971 Robert Altman film "McCabe and Mrs. Miller", starring Julie Christie and Warren Beatty. "McCabe and Mrs. Miller "was originally called "The Presbyterian Church Wager"; director Robert Altman is quoted as saying a ranking official in the Presbyterian Church complained to Warner Brothers about having their church mentioned in a film about brothels and gambling, and that this complaint caused the name change. This is a seldom seen advance poster with design by Anthony Goldschmidt, a top poster designer for many years.

Poster measures 18x37 inches and condition overall is very good: folded with a 2" tear at top (repaired with tape on back), two small tears along bottom, minor edge wear and creasing. Can be framed as-is or linen-backed. Please refer to photo and contact us with any questions or photo requests.

Please note that the magnets in the borders are used during the photographic process and are not pushpins or elements of the design.

Payment must be made immediately upon purchase.
