*** If you are buying multiple patterns, please put them all in your basket and pay for them all together to get combined postage***

Please note: This is a quality, cleaned and restored copy of the pattern for you to knit the item/s yourself. It is Not for the original pattern or the finished article/s.

Knitting pattern/instructions to make  a cute panda bear.  The pattern is from the 1940s, when toys were expensive and not readily available as they are now, so many were hand made.  Make her in bright colours not just black and white.

  • Sizes: 10 1/2 inches, when made using 3y or 4ply used double.  You could use DK and make her a little smaller, but would need to knit a tension square to ensure finished size was what you wanted.
  • Materials required: The original pattern used 3ply yarn, knitted double, which is very similar to modern 4ply yarn so you could substitute.   2 ounces each (approx 57 grams) black and white.  Pair No. 10 (3.25mm) knitting needles. child safe stuffing. 2 small beads for her eyes, though if the toy is for a small child you could use toy safety eyes or embroider them.
Due to the age of the pattern, the original yarn suggested may not be available.  It is recommended to crochet/knit a tension square with your chosen yarn, before starting, to ensure the finished garment or item is the size you require.

From August 2020 eBay are charging sellers for handling payments per individual transaction.  As such I will continue to combine postage for multiple patterns 'paid for separately', however, unfortunately I cannot refund the new eBay payment handling charges.  Please purchase multiple patterns together in one transaction for automatic postage discounts.
