Knitting pattern/instructions for you to make a fair isle jumper with reindeer motifs. Great for Christmas, Xmas jumper day at work.

Size: 40 - 42 inch chest, when when knitted in 3ply yarn.  You can use modern 4ply yarn which is similar in weight to 3ply from the 1940s, or use DK yarn and larger needles to make a larger size.  You would need to knit a tension square to ensure the finished garment was to the size you wanted. 

Materials: 3ply yarn:  10 ounces (approx 284 grams) in natural/back ground colour. 2 ounces (approx 57 grams) in each of a contrast shade.    Pair No.9 (3.75mm) straight knitting needles and a set of 4 double pointed No. 11 (3.00mm) knitting needles.

Tension after pressing: 15 stitches and 18 rows to 2 inches.

The pattern is printed in A4 format on heavy weight paper with colour photos and charts where applicable.  It will be posted in a plastic sleeve and board backed C4 envelope to protect it. 

Due to the age of the pattern, the original yarn suggested may not be available.  It is recommended to knit a tension square with your chosen yarn, before starting, to ensure the finished garment or item is the size you require.
