"In response to the great number of requests we have received from art groups and others for simple and easy to follow directions for painting and decorating, we take pleasure in making this booklet available.

The techniques used by the Early Craftsmen are well worth our study, as their work was beautifully executed.  The methods given here are those followed by these early decorators.  The procedure you follow and the materials you use make the difference between success and failure.

This primer of painting is written in the belief, that if the instructions given are faithfully followed, it is possible to restore an otherwise worthless object to an attractive, decorative and useful piece.  We have tried to keep these instructions as simple and easy to follow as possible, and with this background of knowledge and diligent practice you can go on to being a craftsman in your own right."

CONDITION  This booklet is in used  condition.  The pages, binding and cover are intact and secure. The booklet is in good condition with no torn, ripped or missing pages.  There is a small bookstore sticker on the first page and a handwritten original price in the right hand corner of that page. The pages have darkened and yellowed with age.  The cover does show some wear.  There is a mild musty smell.
