Listing is for a single 900mW 16X 405nm BDR-209 Blueray Diode in a standard 12mm copper module with leads attached. This is the most powerful 405 diode available currently. The copper module upgrade provides a huge improvementin thermal conductivity over the standard brass module for moving the heat away from the diode to your heatsink which gives a much more stable output from the diode. When driven @ 600mA you can expect 900mW+ with a G-2 lens and 650mW+ with a three element 405 AR coated glass lens but the diodes. Efficiency will vary a little and I have seen some hit as high as 1.1W with a G-2 being driven @ 600mA.
Please Note this is a
standard copper module
which comes with an acrylic lens in it. It can not handle the power
this unit can put out. It will keep dust and contaminates out of the
module until you are ready to put yours in. Replace with your glass lens
of choice before powering the module. The best options are the Aixiz
405/445 Glass
Lens or the more powerful 405 G-2 Lens.
Save yourself the headache of extracting, pressing and soldering on your diode. Just add host, heatsink and driver. The current must be limited to no more than 700mA to the diode suggest 600mA for best life expectancy. Don't attempt
to connect directly to a battery you need a laser driver to power this diode. I do offer a boost driver that is
capable of driving this diode off a single Li-Ion see my other offerings below.All modules are tested and are
in working condition prior to shipping.
Modules are wired with extremely flexible 26AWG wire that is burn proof and makes for very easy soldering.
