This is a hardcover copy of "Spindizzies: Gas-Powered Model Racers" by Eric Zausner.

The following is a summary was pulled from the internet:

"These tethered vehicles, powered by internal combustion, are part of a unique style of racing beginning with Depression-era hobbyists from the 1930’s. Being “bullets on wheels”, there is a great racing history to be told and in the future, we will be able to tell it.

This book is a visual feast of Zausner’s mighty gas-powered midget racers. Many are handcrafted using the same type of components of real cars but in a much smaller scale. Some early versions were powered by model airplane engines. Zausner wastes no time drawing the reader in as he features countless Spindizzy images of which many are close to life size.  Not only is this a beautiful coffee table book, but an excellent reference that includes the evolution of technology and images of English and European models.

You will not find another book on this subject that is as vibrant as Eric Zausner’s Spindizzies: Gas Powered Model Racers.  It is a must have for the hobbyist, designer, tinker, a racing buff, and even the automobile engineer.  Find elements of inspiration with each turn of the page."

While it is new and still shrink-wrapped, please note the slight bow, although it appears to me that many printed copies also have a similar bowing. I hope my photographs are sufficient.
