This textile is lovely, and enormous! It dates to circa 1880-90 and was once used as a bed curtain. ~*~  This large textile is made from 100% cotton, lovely sturdy medium weight fabric with a lovely, floral, urn, pearl and scroll pattern! This textile has no backing, and the fabric is only printed on one side making it excellent furnishing fabric!!  There is beautiful trim on this piece in stunning condition and this drape has such a fabulous shape for framing a bed, doorway or window!!  There are 14 metal hooks left at the top back for hanging, two of have been torn away. ~*~ The tone of the ground red is deep and saturated, the other colors include cream, ocher, pink, pale blue-gray, greens and a soft yellow tones. This fabric would be lovely used as is as a large curtain or could be used for a group of smaller curtains, upholstery, pillows, bedding, shower curtains and many other projects!  There is so much of this gorgeous, sturdy fabric and trim to work with and it is in fantastic condition!!  I have left this panel intact so that it can be used for larger projects that require more fabric!  Please see my other textiles for the matching bed curtain which is ornamented with trim.  ~*~ ( 174 )

MEASUREMENTS: This lovely textile measures about 111 inches long.  Across the top measures about 101 inches wide and across the bottom of each of the two long drapes measure 76 inches.  The opening across the top front measures about 29 inches wide. ~*~

CONDITION: This textile is in wonderful, as found condition. There are some pale marks and small stains that are barely noticeable and they may or may not wash fully, but generally this piece is in gorgeous condition. There is one tiny tear on the outside edge of each long drape near the center of the edge.  There are two hooks missing the back, and the fabric tore where these are missing as you can see in the photos. There may be some bobbles from the trim missing but I did not notice any!  A wonderful textile treasure! ~ ( please see photographs)
