Now with a new shorter design.  The body of the capo is 1mm shorter, while the nut is still in the same place.  Testing so far has shown that this eliminates buzzing on the 4th string that a few clients suffered from.

Introducing 'Stu's Banjo Capo', a new and innovative design for banjo 5th string capo.  

Easy to fit and remove, fits between string and fret with the fret in the groove on the underside and string in the notch on top.  No drilling, hammering, gluing required.

Fits snugly and does not move even when really 'digging in'.  Allows a good sustain on the 5th string note.  Optimised for use from 6th-12th fret.  Has rubberised side contact to minimise 'slap'.  Nut point is directly above the fret to minimise retuning.  Does not interfere with other fingers or thumb while playing.  

3D-printed, made with PLA which is 100% bio-based made from fermented plant starch, is free of toxins and carbon-neutral.

Note, the action on the 5th string is raised slightly while the capo is in place, and some small retuning may be necessary.  May not work with scalloped necks or unusual string spacings.  And yes, it's a small piece of plastic, but it works  :-)
