Huge heavy showy mid century 1950's vintage Mexican mans mens ring:
*Fantastic big & chunky ring will appeal across a number of collecting subcultures - gambler, rockabilly, rocker, jockey, horse man, biker, tourist souvenir, greaser, or would just make a bold good luck piece for anyone wanting to make a statement
*Solid brass with a shiny silver toned metal plating, possibly rhodium
*Applied on a raised plaque - a single horse head within a horseshoe with cobalt blue enamel accents on the front
*I think this single horse head may be a rarer design example on an already scarce style of old ring
*Random chipped or notched border
*Matching fleur-de-lis shields or crests on each side
*Marks = MEXICO stamped on the inside of the ring, backside of the face
*Size = 8.75
*Measurements = The face is 1" tall x 3/4" wide and the band tapers to 3 mm in back.
*Weight = 28.1 grams on my scale
CONDITION: Good condition for the age and collectibility - just normal wear and oh so perfect timeworn finish loss here and there that exposes the raw brass underneath - giving it that unmistakeable vintage appeal. Slight enamel loss from age and use also. View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will try my best to note anything glaring or distracting.
