DESCRIPTION

Works in this set are A Hind Let Loose, Dramatic Values, The Morning's War, Disenchantment, Rough Justice, and Right Off The Map.

Includes the original boards for the works bound in the rear of each volume. The original dustwrapper is included to the rear of Rough Justice. There is the front panel of the dustwrapper to the rear of Right Off the Map.

With the illustrated bookplates of Melville Russell Cooke to the front free-endpapers.

Charles Edward Montague, 1867 – 1928, was an English journalist and novelist.


CONDITION

Rebound in bindings with gilt lettering and decoration. Externally, smart. There is only slight wear to the extremities, with just slight bumping and discolouration. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean and bright, with slight browning the occasional foxing, usually prominent to the first and last few pages. Page 1 of Rough Justice with browning and chipping to the fore-edge and bottom margins are partially detached, and page one of A Hind Let Loose is detached, with remains of sticky tape, with offsetting from the tape to subsequent pages.
