DESCRIPTION

With a preface by Park and his Life to front.

Mungo Park (1771 - 1806) was a Scottish explorer of the African continent. He was credited as being the first Westerner to encounter the Niger River.

A prize presentation copy with bookplate to front free endpaper dated 1898.


CONDITION

In an illustrated cloth binding. Externally, generally smart but with slight wear to extremities and slight staining to rear board. Internally, firmly bound. Generally bright and clean throughout with only very slight foxing to endpapers.
