For sale is a counted needlepoint pattern  designed by Eunice Beam from the Kitty Whigham Company in Tucson Arizona. This is for the face of a transistor clock.  It features a bird at the top of the clock with orange flowers and vines all around the face.

The title is Tango Time.  If you do your TANGO TIME picture clock design on 10 gauge double mesh needlepoint canvas, a standard 16 x 20 picture frame may be used.  The design is 152 gros point stitches wide by 190 gros point stitches deep or approx 15.2" x 19". The original TANGO picture clock has a medium beige gros point background and is framed in antique gold and matte black.

You will need to purchase the transistor clock mechanism and the mesh canvas.  It includes a sample of the yarn for the pattern. The instructions show 48 shades and indicates the size canvas should be 20" x 24" if 10 gauge and 13" x 13" if 18 gauge.  Not sure if all the yarn is there.  You will also need to provide your own yarn for the background on the face as the instructions show only the stitches for the pattern and not the background.

Eunice Beam during her lifetime was an accomplished artistt and embroiderer. She prepared and won many awards for her charted designs and scenes for needlepointing in excess of 75 charted designs. From what I understand, sometime later all of her designes were stitched for display by her assistant, Kitty Whigham and chart packs and kits were made available for sale to the stitching public. This is one of those kits. It is placed in a plastic bag and secured with scotch tape.

Because it does not include all the yarn requrired, the price of this kit has been lowered from what you would normally pay for needlepoint kits. to take this into consideration.

This kit which I acquire with some liquidation inventory looks like it was made by hand and has a large pattern for the different colors. Some information is even written in ballpoint pen.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS LIKELY INSUFFICIENT YARN TO COMPLETE THIS WHOLE NEEDLEPOINT PICTURE. IT LOOKS LIKE THERE IS A 3 PLY SAMPLE FOR EACH COLOR BUT IN MOST CASES IT WILL NOT BE ENOUGH TO COMPLETE THIS. YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLEMENT THIS WITH YARN YOU HAVE ON HAND OR WILL NEED TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL YARN FROM YOUR CRAFT STORE.

ALSO AS INDICATED EARLIER IN THIS LISTING YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE NEEDLEPOINT CANVAS FROM YOUR LOCAL CRAFT STORE.

I RECEIVED INFORMATION FROM AN EBAYER, THAT THE NUMBERS INDICATED FOR EACH COLOR OF YARN, CORRESPONDS WITH PATERNAYAN YARN. SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE THAT BRAND OF YARN TO COMPLETE THIS NEEDLEPOINT.
